This week's rescue is Itzy, a 7-year-old spotted tabby who loves to sit in laps. Itzy lived with another cat, Zoe, and a human until the human lost their home. They were taken in by another human who then also became homeless. Itzy and Zoe were turned over to the care of Redwood Coast Humane Society in Gualala, California where Zoe was quickly adopted. Shortly after arriving, Itzy was diagnosed with FIV. Because Redwood Coast Humane Society operates out of two rooms where the cats roam free, Itzy cannot be exposed to the other cats and she is kept in a cage in the office. This is not an ideal life for a cat, and the volunteers let her out to help with "office work" but she needs a home where she will not be cooped up all day.
